Ok, I had my doubts about this movie. Many green screen prodigies have flopped before, but some (Think Sparta) have soared to great heights. I would expect for a modern movie, in almost complete CGI, would be iffy, especially if it commonly followed old style "Golly Gee" dialog.

But 2 things coaxed me over that doubt. First off the Wachowski Brothers are the most amazing duo in all of Hollywood (sorry Cohen brother fans, if there are any), their making of the pop-culture favorite, Matrix Trilogy solidifies that. Plus their last big release, V for Vendetta, is my favorite movie of all time. No Joke. The second being the fact that my mom wanted to see it and it was obviously based on a popular cartoon that she and my uncle grew up watching.

I was not disappointed, the movie actually blew my expectations away.

It starts a bit corny, but as the movie goes on the characters all develop and the story stays surprisingly modern and to the times. I would enjoy the kid and chimp causing problems (and even pulling a gesture worth laughs at the main baddy) and all of the other personas. This movie had almost every single emotion I can think of: happiness, sadness, comedy, confusion, desperation, helplessness, anger, love, greed... but every single instance in its main point in the film was powerful and raw and I sure felt it.

Don't let the PG scare you either, the Wachowskis have much more than one dimension in any film they make, even those geared to children. Words and fingers fly and anger is abundant. This is truly a movie that can be enjoyed by people over 10 years of age! XD

The Graphics, both 2D and 3D came out vivid and spectacular, the races were wonderfully played out and I was constantly wanting more, MORE, MORRRREEEE!!! the movements were quick, fluent, and vivid... and there were many creative and even breathtaking moments from time to time throughout the movie.

The brothers did a great job of staying true to the original storyline while making the movies look and words modern and enjoyable. This is the true sleeper hit of the year and I'm actually very sad that Iron Man is killing its chances of reaching its full potential (I was one of maybe 6 in the theatre for the 7:20 showing.) This was worth the pair of tickets, medium popcorn, and medium Coca Cola multiplied five times over, a very strong showing. W brothers, you never cease to amaze me.



Don't let doubts of the world or dialog impede on you going to see this movie, like I said, I had the exact same doubts... I was proven very Very VERY wrong!



**Plus it made us want to drive fast in the way home. ^_^ Late night, I-5.... VERY FUN***


10/10 Yes, to me this is truly an example of a "as close as you can get to perfect" movie.
